How It All Began
Hi, i´m Miguel, born in Lisbon and this is how surf becomes a part of my life…
It was 1980 when my parents bought a summer house in Carrapateira, a small village in the west coast of Algarve, inside the Costa Vicentina Natural Park. At the time, my father main sport was spearfishing , and those beaches, Amado and Bordeira were perfect to spend relaxing holidays doing what he loved more.
By the time, i didn´t know how lucky i was, to have two of the best European surfing beaches right there. A normal day were at the beach snorkelling and swimming, but it wasn´t enough, so i saw some German windsurfers using their boards to surf …WOW… That image stayed in my mind…
Few years later, a friend of mine bought a surfboard in Lisbon, so those summer holidays i have my first contact with the sport, it was amazing. By the time we didn´t have wetsuit´s but we didn’t care, we were having the time of our life´s…
Yeah, that´s right, i have to have my own surfboard, so when i was 8, my parents bought me a brand new double wing swallow twin fin Semente surfboard, i will never forget that psychedelic paint job…
At 14, i bring the board to Lisbon and start surfing also during the winter, at 15 i was already competing and was invited to join the Surfing Club Portugal team, the oldest surf club in Portugal.
There, i ´ve met older and experienced top surfer´s who guided me along the way, gave me important lessons about friendship, respecting others and making them to respect you, believing in yourself and overwhelming your achievements. Surfing gave me auto-confidence and self-respect, values for life…

GROUP CLASSES
If you are travelling alone or with a small group looking for a friendly price surf day, this is the right option for you. Joining a group class, you will have a great time learning or improving your surfing skills. It´s also a perfect way to meet other travelers, have fun, and at the same time, discover Algarve Natural Park West Coast beaches. Booking multiple classes is the best way to progress, overwhelming your achievements with each additional lesson.

Group Class Day Organization

- Start’s at 10:00 am at Bordeira beach
- Two classes of 1:30h during lesson (total surf lesson time 3:00h)
- 30 min. briefing:
Objectives, warm up, land training techniques, surf strategy, safety measures - 1h on water surf instruction:
Reading waves, board carrying, practice paddling, catching waves. - 30 min. rest between classes to eat and drink
- 15 min. briefing: objectives, warm up, take off technique, safety measures
- 1:15h on water surf instruction, take off, riding waves.
- 13:30h finish class
What's included

- Free transfer to and from the beach (minimum 2 persons)
- 3 hours surf class with certified surf coach
- Wetsuit and surfboard
- Light lunch (sandwich, fruit, 20cl. Water)
What to bring

- Protective sun cream (a first layers of sun cream should be applied at home)
- Towel
- Sun hat
PRIVATE GROUP CLASSES
For those who travel together and want to stay that way, without other surfers joining their group. This way you will have full attention with maximum safety. These classes are great for families with kids, where parents can interact with their kids in a different ambient and conditions, providing great progress on your surfing. By booking multiple classes you are consolidating your achievements and improving your physical condition

- 1:15h on water surf instruction: take off, riding waves

PRIVATE CLASSES
These lessons are dedicated to surfers who want to jump to next level. Having your personal surf coach, you will maximise your time in water giving you higher level of progression, allowing your trainer to correct and develop your technique in the right direction. For better long term results is advised to book regular classes, this way will be possible to video analyze, diagnose and correct your performance, draw your objectives and do a short/ long term planning train.

objectives, specific warm up, on water surf visual analyse to define the level of the athlete, depending on that factor, the train will be adapt to his condition.
